Val Reilly is a freelance writer, on-air contributor, and current participant in the space-time vortex that is parenting a small child. She lives in the city and in her spare time finds herself researching for and writing stellar preschool applications. She enjoys date nights, 5:45 p.m. dinner reservations, and the high-intensity interval training that is pushing a stroller up a San Francisco hill.

Val Reilly works in a variety of media. She recently finished a series of podcasts and currently contributes to an upscale lifestyle magazine. She also has experience with 0n-camera hosting and reporting, as well as creating editorial, lifestyle, and business copy.

Editor in Chief for the Junior League of San Francisco Magazine

Volunteer position at The Fogcutter, JLSF's primary communications vehicle. The magazine includes member profiles, feature stories and advocacy issues, as well as broader community issues of interest to JLSF members. 

JLSF is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Val Reilly has also contributed to local newspapers and as a reporter for area television news programs. She has worked in the newsrooms of CNN, KRON-TV and KFTY TV-50. Val graduated with a journalism degree from San Francisco State University, where she received an award for Promise and Creativity from the faculty.
